Ultimately, the ability to keep yourself healthy will lead to an overall better lifestyle. If you eat low quality, processed and junky foods you will generally be more sluggish and less focused as opposed to getting all your vitamins and minerals through a healthy diet of the five food groups. This will effect your ability to reach your full potentional in school or the work force. This could then lead to carelessness from fatigue, or simply a shorter lifespan. I can't say for sure, but bottom line, having a healthy diet will improve your life from the inside out. You are what you eat!
Search the nutrient that you want to know on http://wikipedia.com (for the description or the effect to our body) or http://nutrient.javalime.com (for finding the foods contain the nutrient)
I'm also in the "poor" category but I've learned to eat pretty well on a small budget. (Actually much of my meat is from animals my nephew traps, so I rarely buy meat at the grocery store.)
The foods I do buy at the grocery are cheap. You can get frozen and canned veggies very cheap, and they're as healthy as fresh veggies. I prefer frozen since they have a fresher taste. A bag of frozen veggies is only about a dollar.
Eggs are very inexpensive protein, and very good for you. Canned tuna is also very cheap.
Another really cheap meal is rice & beans. I don't eat much starch, but when I do I make it whole wheat. You can make rice & beans very healthy by using brown rice.
Soup is most economical. Use frozen veggies and either meat or beans (or lentils) and make soup! It fills you up, it's low calorie, and it's very good for you. Just don't load it up with tons of salty seasoning. Use herbs. You can find lots of seasonings at the dollar store.
thats a lie you shouldnt carry around 6 glasses of water everday , if you drink tea that counts = glass of water, bottle of juice etc so I THINK YOU SHOULD LOOSE WEIGHT YOUR SELF :/
I'm pretty much the same as you. Don't worry. There are plenty of people out there just like us. Also, you might try working out to get more muscle. You will be healthier, stronger, and also, muscle weighs more that fat!!! Another thing is you might have a high metabolism. You can't help that so i say eat as much sweets as you can before you will be wanting your old body back because as you age, you loose your metabolism and will gain weight
I am a cat person, I do rescue and have had my kitties on holistic diets for 10 years.
Raw would be so great *in the wild*, but in real life, as you've learned, there are all kinds of issues with contaminations and keeping the food fresh. Plus, it's just plain cost and convenience prohibitive.
I spoke with another rescuer in Florida who wanted to be totally raw, but they had such issues with power outages during storms that she just couldn't stay with it. A Golden Retriever rescuer in Virginia found it costly to ship and hard to keep enough on hand for all her Goldens.
I've tried lots of holistic brands. Since you're asking for other options, I'd say, try out my favorite, Life's Abundance. It's done by a place called HealthyPetNet and has been around for 9 years.
I've also really like Canidae (for dogs) and Felidae (for cats), although the pets don't seem to like the taste as much as Life's Abundance. Also Wysong and Solid Gold are good but you have to find a natural foods store that stocks them. (Life's Abundance is shipped to your door).
Whatever you choose, take a look at the video on the website below. "Do You Know What's In Your Pet's Food" It's the only thing like it on the web and it will educate you about pet foods. Go holistic, that's the only way.
do YOU want UNLIMITED VITALITY once and for all ? this is for real , no jokes , start now while you still have the opportunity ,before its too late , go to w w w . vitalityunlimited . stemtechbiz . com for more info .
You need a modified body builder diet if you want bulk without fat. High protein low fat is how they do it. To lose fat you need to lose weight then you can put it back on in the form of muscle. Also the body gets used to things and doesn't respond as well anymore so you have to challenge it and change it up. Eating and training needs to change or you will stay the same or maybe get more fat.
Spot reduction is a myth no matter how much ab work you do the fat will stay until you lose overall body fat. Once you get the fat gone do 20 minutes of abs everyday go to youtube for ideas and visuals to make up a routine. Hit the abs at every angle possible that's the only way to get great cuts along with proper diet of course.
You're probably thinking of a gastroenterologist http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gastroenterology although a nutritionist might be more help with healthy dieting. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nutritionist
